The stuff we have today isn't in the Constitution. Minimum wage. Social Security. Unemployment Healthcare. This country was not started by people wanting this stuff. I can't imagine there were that many people that considered healthcare a right! Who the heck would want the right to be bled as every bit as often as George Washington, the richest man in the country. When did this creep into the psychology of the liberal? I am sure the framers didn't over look a fundamental right here, it was invented much later. Minimum wage? Why the hell do liberals want the government to interfer with the agreements between people that need help and those that are willing to help? Another gift to the nation from FDR, arguably the worst failure upholding the Constitution in the twentieth century. (Nips out Wilson) Social Security? Dang! with all the boomer's planing to live to be the oldest generation of all time, it is likely to end the Union. Right after bankruptcy. The worst part of this is, it hold everyone back. I know that I would be far better off if I had been able to keep more of my money than the Government took, I would indeed be in better shape. I am quite sure that is the case for everyone able to have a computer to connect to this forum. More liberal gifts from Wilson, with income tax and FDR, with Social Security. Wilson at least got an amendment to the Constitution, open ended as it is. FDR didn't even sweat it. His view was if the Constitution did not prohibit and act, he could do it. Every decade the new wants come. When will the new voter come? One bright enough to know every gain by the liberal, is a loss to the individual.
And how would you have been able to connect to this forum if DARPA hadn't spent the money to develop the Internet? barfo
Xerox. They invented Ethernet, the mouse, the graphical user interface, and XNS protocols (tcp/ip won out). At least we didn't waste big money on that information superhighway thing Algore prattled on about.
But they failed at commercializing those ideas. So you are saying that Xerox would have invented the internet and someone (we'll call him "Steve") would have stolen the idea and popularized it? Maybe that would have happened, but also maybe it would not have happened. I kind of think that what DARPA spent on this was money well spent, even if the Constitution doesn't mention electronic communication networks. barfo
Speaking of prattling, I would think you'd shush about the man Americans elected in 2000 to be President. If not for crooked Florida, this country wouldn't be in this inescapable quicksand. But, keep reminding us.
Read the constitution time. It mentions the D in DARPA quite a bit. But Xerox or Samsung or MicroSoft or America Online or Compuserve might have made some money connecting computers ver long distances. My bad... They did! Almost all the internet infrastructure I know of was built by companies like Pac Bell, MCI, Sprint, AT&T, Cisco, and Sun Microsystems. And many more.
There were multiple proposals active. My research group had one. The internet did not come about from only one source activity.
I didn't vote for Bush either time. And you're simply full of shit to say they're war criminals. I can't find a single nation or international court that has indicted him or Cheney. And there wasn't any count or recount that showed Algore win. Too bad. Need a Kleenex? But it's a free country. Spew on.
Yes, and it doesn't mention the ARPA. You can't have it both ways. Either we interpret the constitution literally or we don't. barfo
Sure, maybe if the government didn't crowd you out, your group would have gotten all the glory. But back to the point. Is it unconstitutional to spend money on things not specifically mentioned in the constitution? barfo
It doesn't mention muskets and cannons either. They raise an army, fund it, including those things and DARPA, too.
How dare people make money!!!! Let's tax the hell out of em and give it to welfare recipients that gain money by having more babies! Drug problem? No problem!!! The rich will pay for your next fix. Jobless? That's okay, we will pay you to sit on your ass and not look for work. We should give thanks for the hard working upper class. Without them, your life would be no better than the slug dragging their sorry ass through a salt mine
Says the guy whose father died and inherited how many millions? My point being, I pay into unemployment insurance. I am going to be using that money I already paid into. The rich would be nothing without the workers or the consumers. The rich need the poor just as much as the poor need the rich. It's like a lion saying "Those lazy zebra don't want to die for me to eat anymore? Don't they know I help them by killing off the weak ones?"
I didn't inherit shit. My mom is still alive. Are you trying to say I don't work hard? You got a lot of assumption for an angry liberal
Also, my rant has nothing to do with the working class. I'm talking about the welfare loving, baby making, drug addicted lazy asses
