Per MLB the Marlins looked like they were ready to back up a Brinks Armored Car to Stantons' house and dump some cash. Hope he gets back on the field in prima shape, like that mans game, hits those long distance bombs like Mantle did. Hate to see any player deprived of his ability to make a living.

Stanton truly DID dodge a bullet.....when I saw the re-play, all I could think of was NO not to a young upcoming stud. All I could envision was Tony Conigliaro's face, swollen beyond belief, where Tony couldn't see out of his 1 eye for quit sometime, then lost a good amount of sight in that injured eye, and Tony's eyesight was never the same, or his career.

Seems to me like Conigliaro's hit shattered his cheek bone, not sure, just reflecting.....

Thanks for posting this 59, I wasn't sure what Giancarlo's status was at this point in time. Good to see, he came away without losing an eye, or a career.....un-believalbe...!
