...it was also possibly Ichiro's final game. ...in his prime, one of the best all-around players I've ever seen play.
if ichiro was an american born BB, and was 1 of the best to ever play game, u think girardi would have ever batted him in 9th slot?
...it's possible... but getting to 3000 will be a tall order. He's no longer an everyday player, and being 157 hits away from 3000 it would take him more than one year to get there. ...I don't see him going back to Seattle because it appears they're going with youth...but who knows. He's probably gonna need another 600 ABs to have a chance.
A team somewhere might give him a shot to play often. It's also plausible that he can part time it for two more seasons and get it done. Either way another amazing career when you consider we most likely looking at the all time hits leader if he started in MLB.
...yup, would like to have seen what kind of MLB numbers he would have amassed if he had played his whole career here...he may well have passed Cobb and Rose.

Ichiro can still boogie with the big fat broad, the man showed more gamesmanship heart and hustle than many of his younger team mates. I wanted the Yankees to make the playoffs and see Jeter and Ichiro come home with shield or on it. Unlike sniveler Cano I don't think we'll Ichiro say he was "disrespected" by Girardi or any prime team member.
...^^^ he's lost a little bat speed, but he's still graceful as can be in the OF, still has a great arm too...and still runs the bases well. ...he doesn't complain, doesn't argue, he just does his job...a consummate professional.
...no, actually, the only ones who "have to stop and look" are the weak-minded individuals. ...but if you look in the upper left corner of your browser you'll see this little thingy that looks like an arrow to the left...it's called a back button...try using it. ...if that doesn't work for you. this site has an "ignore" feature...set it, and my posts won't even show...cool huh?
Psychological studies have shown that slowing to watch an accident coorelates inversely proportional to IQ. I know that is a tough sentence for trolls to read, let me break that down....the dumber you are, the more likely you will slow to watch an accident and further impede the flow of traffic.
