AL WILD CARD GAME OAKLAND @ KC NL WILD CARD GAME SF @ PITT AL DIVISION SERIES DETROIT VS BALTIMORE WC WINNER VS LA NL DIVISION SERIES ST. LOUIS VS LA WC WINNER VS WASHINGTON
preseason hockey has more my interest.. like to see buck take it all, after all, he does have yankee ties!
...it's easy to draw a parallel between Cespedes leaving and the A's offense going south but I think it was coincidental...once they went on a cold streak, they felt the pressure and it only made things worse...Cespedes was not that much of an offensive force this year before he was traded...or after he was traded for that matter. ...and Lester has been great in Oakland. ...Beane went all in...and at the time of the trade most people thought the A's were a shoo-in....but now, the only way for Beane to keep from being second guessed is for the A's to win it all...tough hill to climb.
It was just a very curious move considering where Oakland was at the time. That being said they're in the dance so they have a chance.
...I suppose it's good fodder for conjecture, but we'll just never know for sure if things would have unfolded the same way if they had kept Cespedes or if they hadn't gotten Lester.
there's this thing called chemistry, man!!!!! i have never seen on any board a poster try so hard to be wrong so much of the time, my goodness, what the hell is wrong with you?
I'd like to see KC win the AL WC, Detroit over Baltimore, KC over LA, KC in the WS & Pitt knock the crap out of SF, LA over the Cards, Pitt over Washington, & really torn over Pitt vs LA.... Pitt vs. KC w/ Pitt winning the WS

Team Chemistry, if I remember correctly they 72-74 A's won three consecutive Worlds Series with a group that fought like cats and dogs. Ditto the 77 and to a greater degree the 78 Yankees. What brought them through was team "character.
___________________________ Don't forget the '86 Mets. What brought those teams together was excellent pitching, clutch hitters and a few timely post season HRs.
...^^^this...plus, if he was such an integral part of (wait for it) ...the A's "clubhouse chemistry", why wasn't he able to transfer that magic to the clubhouse in Boston?...I think the Sox were something like 20-30 with Cespedes.
