Lol Detroit being swept when they had Scherzer, Verlander and Price on the hill is grand. It almost makes the A's collapse not look as bad. Also, TBS coverage >>>>> FOX/ESPN's
Detroit's ship has sailed. They're on the way down. 2012 was their best chance (and the Giants destroyed them).
Shit like this really pisses me off because the Mariners could have done something in the playoffs seeing this.
He sucks ass... Thank God he didn't end in Seattle... He would be a power hitting version of chone figgins ..
Yawn. No they couldn't. They couldn't even get into the playoffs as a Wild Card. Props for turning around a long decade of shit performances, but I'll be convinced when it's not a single season out of a decade. They've had, what, winning seasons in 2-3 seasons of 10-12? While they improved in 2014, what they do during this offseason will be meaningful in determining whether they're a team on the way up or just had a solid year.
If Seattle picks up a guy like Melky and then gives V-Mart a fat 2 year deal... Things could really get rolling going into next season.
When I think of the Royals I think of the greatest player to never win a championship.
It's why I said their offseason is critical. Improve/deepen the roster, and hope guys build upon 2014 and/or at least don't regress. They're not far from a return to the playoffs.
Who is that player? It ain't Bo. There are many that far surpass Bo as greats to not win the WS. Unless you're talking about players to at multi pro sports and not win a thing. Or unless you're talking about great Royals to not win a thing.
Meh, his career numbers aren't that sexy... .250/.309/.474 with 141 HRs and 415 RBI Carlos Quentin has a similar line.
