A group of scientists led by Dr. Radoslaw Poleski of Ohio State University and Warsaw University Observatory of Poland discovered an ice giant planet that looks like Uranus. The extrasolar thing is about 25,000 light years away from Earth.

The new extrasolar planet was labeled as OGLE-2008-BLG-092LAb or just 092Lab. It has a mass about four times that of Uranus and is part of the binary star system in the constellation Sagittarius.

There are two stars in the system labeled as 092LA and 092LB. 092LA is about 2/3 as the sun’s size while the second star is about 1/6 of the sun’s size. The new planet orbits around 092LA at the same distance between Uranus and the sun.
