A good experienced C with some offense so they can let D.Moore play his 4th line role and not have to use the Chris Muellers of the world while Stepan's out. Then when he comes back you have Stepan/Brassard/Vermette/Moore for the rest of the year. I like Hayes going forward but he may need some AHL seasoning this year. Send Arizona a Kristo or Fast and a draft pick.

Saw those rumors too. I do like Vermette and he'd be a good 3C but money won't work unless a guy like Klein is shipped out. Has a 3.75m hit, that won't fit if we're only giving up prospects. Maybe the yotes will retain some of that hit, forgot you can do that now. FA after this year anyway.

I'd see how Hayes does for a few more games before pulling the trigger.

Stepan should miss 4 maybe 5 more games and be back. We are close on him. And maybe 6 or 7 more games for Boyle.

No thanks...............you can keep Vermette. Five-seven years ago,
I would have said yes. At age 32, he would be stop gap player.

They still need a defenseman who can really excel on the pp. All of them are too stiff and don't understand the concept of moving in and shooting.
