FWIW, for my LPBB choice 5 teams, I'm picking: POR, TOR, MIL, LAL, and GSW

    POR obviously.
TOR 'cause their crowd is awesome, their team is fun, for time zone diversity, and they'll never be on national tv.
MIL 'cause of Giannis and Jabari.
LAL to watch Kobe jack 30 shots a game to try to get the scoring record while getting blown out by 20.
GSW for Steph and the crowd.

I picked CLE/WAS/NOP last year in addition to POR and GS. That didn't work out too well because they were all boring as hell.

At least Simmons acknowledged that he was baiting. And in the next section, he shows that he clearly elevated the Lakers unreasonably.

You know what, boring but good is better than exciting but bad.

Haha true. This is watchability rankings. Not really a rank of the team's ability to win.

I dont expect them to watch all 82 of our games but I also feel like that if you dont watch and read as much Blazers as I do then I have a hard respecting your opinion on who the Blazers are, how significant the changes are and what they will do this season. Im not going to let their lack of time or laziness be an excuse to for feeding the public information thats only surface deep and selling it as basically fact.

BTW, teams that are ranked higher than POR (outside of LAL/MEM that are already on this list): CHA/NOP/NYK/HOU/MIN/TOR/WAS

If they want to spin this as those teams are more interesting to watch as a writer, journalist or media employee then maybe I can see that because drama sells, even bad drama. But there is no way that any of those teams offers better overall entertainment (based upon their criteria) than the Blazers do to an NBA fan.

More fuel for Lillard and LMA. Diss them at your own peril.

    Plus:

What a fucking horrible trade. A center with a suspect motor and two PGs when we have a next-level superstar at that position already, for THAT PRICE? No Thanks.

Maybe, maybe not. If you could find a way to get Hibbert back into the mode he was in a couple years ago, He and Hill would be a fantastic addition. But, I do agree that I'm starting to wonder if Hibbert will ever be able to get back there.

I don't think thats a bad trade but then again i'm one of the few people around here who hasnt' really soured on Hibbert mostly because his stats don't tell how INSANE he is at protecting the rim. He is the main cog that makes that pacers D go and when he is on the court players are scared of going into the paint.
Simmons/Zach seem to be low on the Blazers this year mostly because there isn't anything super exciting going on and they don't have an affinity for watching either LMA/Lillard. I disagree but I don't see it as an insult.

Washington may have been a good pick this year to watch.

heh, Colin Cowherd went on an epic anti-kobe rant today. I know some of you don't like him, but theres a reason he's one of the best. The guy baits well. The calls he took on it were hilarious.

Colins great. Im a fan because of the epic baiting he does and unlike some others who do it he takes calls later in the show and defends his rants.

I don't love the trade, but adding Hill and Hibbert for Lopez, CJ and scraps isn't "horrible". Hibbert is high-variance, and Hill's kinda what we're hoping CJ becomes.

I'm on the east coast, and ORL is blacked out for me.

MIL would be on my Top 5. CHA might be fun. GSW. CLE is going to be on a lot. I'd have to think some more for the second-tier teams.

the wild card is hibbert, if he is focused that trade could be really really good

i would err on the side of "dont fuck up a good thing" though

It's crazy how big of an impact the crowds have in my choices. Seeing so many empty seats and dead crowds in New Orleans and Washington was a major turnoff for me last year. There were over times when the PA announcers were yelling and urging people to get loud. smh

Milwaukee could be the absolute worst team in the league, again

i wouldnt waste a top 5 spot on them

also, simmons calls out, and throws a link to, blazers edge...not sure how to feel about this. we dominate them here in every conceivable way. when was the last time a thread of theirs went 600 posts?

i mean shit, the BE thread "Simmons Taunts Blazers Fans in League Ranking" has 24 posts in it, and they are mentioned in the goddamn article. if S2 was mentioned in the article Denney would have to rent another server.
