...be number 2? They shoot the same percentage from the floor. Klay averaged 2 more points a game but Wes had the same in rebounds and assists. They're both good defenders. They both shoot the three well but Wes has a post game thay Klay doesn't.

Both Klay's and Wesley's fathers played for the Lakers. :MARIS61:

I hate Harden as much as the next guy, but this isn't a contest as to who the best SG in the NBA is currently.

Am i crazy, or has Klay gotten massively overrated lately? I know the sg position is really weak right now, but i can't believe there is a conversation to be had about him being the best one.

If KlayKlay is the best SG in the league, why is GSW even pretending to not offer him the max?

Kay is hardly the best SG in the league currently. That may change years down the road, with Klay learning how to post up. He definitely has the potential to be one of the best though.

Not neccessarily especially when it comes to Wes but they are a factor and I was just surprised at home similar they were. If you would ask me who is the one SG I would consider replacing Wes with it would be Klay but after looking at the numbers and knowing how important Wes is to this team I looked at differently.

Wes us not the 2nd scoring option on the team as Klay is. Wes is the deeper player but won't get the ink. Klay bumped his image up playing for team USA but he's overrated. Good player, not the best

You seem to use it frequently. Amazing how you try and disregard it when it goes against your argument.

I was about to post this! Exactly!!!! There are 2 20 point scorers on this team and he was still able to average 16 per game. That's really impressive, especially when he is called to guard the best perimeter player

I cannot think of one current sg that would be an absolute upgrade over Wes when considering the heart and toughness he brings to the Blazers. Sure, you can pick out players who are better in specific areas of the game, but that could be said about any athlete. If Matthews has another season like last year, or even better improves, I hope Neil and Paul will give him the payday he has earned.

It's always a site to behold when BG's wires get crossed and the discombobulation kicks in

I really think there is something mentally wrong with his posts!

Sly, I attacked the post, not the poster!

Really? He's a good scorer, but don't think he's that great. That's one side of the ball...and it's not like he's a great passer. Like Clyde was a master at running the fast break and hitting the open guy.

But I am glad he's no longer on the Thunder. The Thunder's GM and scouting have been on par with the Spurs, what a crazy amount of talent they acquired, Westbrook, Ibaka, Jackson, Harden.... Ibaka and Jackson were #24 picks.

Name a better SG now. The position is not very deep.

Kobe? No. DWade? No. Klay/Lance/Wes/etc? No. Harden is running away with it.
