Wow I can't believe the cop waited so long before he started firing at the suspect!

Major buzzkill there man. Never good to see an officer shot. I have a ton of respect for officers, their job is so difficult.

Yeah it was really hard for me to watch. The guy came in and made sure he killed the cop too. That's what makes it even more disturbing

Not that it makes all police shootings ok but something like this shows why officers can't wait to long to take action. I'm not political in any way I just hope everyone gets to go home every night.

What was the outcome of this? I hope the cops just hunted him down and killed that piece of shit. Save us the cost of the trial and upkeep in jail.

They did hunt him down and arrested him. He got the death penalty but hasn't been put down yet. The cop died

The cop's performance in this was cringe-worthy. He should have never been a cop.

He had recently been talked to by his superior for being too rash.

Remember this when people complain about cops using too much force. They have no idea who they are pulling over

He clearly needed backup and should not have gotten into a gunfight with the killer on his own.

A bad day on the job has a completely different meaning when you are law enforcement.

A cop killing an innocent person is, and always will be, "worse" than a cop being killed in my opinion. I'm not saying I've picked sides or anything, but it's like a soldier dying, it's more expected and therefore more "normal" than a police officer shooting and killing an unarmed person. Especially considering how ridiculously easy it for anyone to get a gun in this country. What do you expect?

I see your point. I just feel like those innocent people get shot by cops most of the time because of incidents like this

This is sad. I understand that he was told not to pull a gun so quickly but once the other guy shows a gun it is game on. He waited until shot before he shot back.

That's the part that confused me as well. The moment someone pulls a firearm, you have the right to shoot. There is a part of me that thinks it was more than him being told not to shoot.

I actually think he didn't want to kill a man. That hesitation cost him his life.

I don't doubt the fact of that, but I'm not sure the next of kin of those murdered by cops take solace in that. "Officer Friendly was killed by a bad man, so Officer Happy shot my father at a gas station. I guess that's okay."
