Duncan is fine, but Love and especially Davis haven't shown they can play well in big games. I take Aldridge over Davis until Davis proves he can have back to back 40+ point games on the road in the playoffs.
Or prove he can even make the playoffs. Since this "draft" is for one season, and one season only, I'd go with the player who has a more mature offensive game and has proven he can carry his team in the post season. BNM
So if he had back to back 30/15 games in wins, Davis would still be under LMA? Just making sure I understand this correctly.
It's all hypothetical at this point since: Davis hasn't made the playoffs. Davis has never had back-to-back 35 point games. In fact, he only has two 35 point games in his entire NBA career. Davis has way more potential, but has yet to translate that potential into on-court results. His offensive game is not mature and he does not demand constant double teams, like Aldridge. The constant double teams hurt Aldridge's offensive efficiency, but create easy scoring opportunities for his teammates. Davis has been surrounded by shooters (Anderson, Holiday, Gordon, Anthony Morrow), but until he commands the same defensive attention as Aldridge, he does not make his teammates better. BNM
