That's what Kevin Harlan says on the game. Says KD plays 2K before games to scout the other team. Hilarious.

I actually hear a lot of professional athletes use the 2K series of gaming to scout other players\teams. (In football, Basketball and Baseball) I also have heard where coaches will use it to design plays and such.

No wonder they have trouble with Portland; the game is nothing like our team!

Haha, I was thinking "Boy I hope this isn't their gameplan for tomorrow."

Yeah, this sounds like bullshit to me. Any game I've played has been a horrible comparison to the real players. There's always some weird bench scrub that's way too good in the game. I could see playing just as a way to familiarize yourself with the players on that team by name/sight, but not in play style or tendencies.

It might work for scouting the Lakers. Kobe takes all the shots in both situations.

True, but I'm sure teams already have an entire anthology and videography on Kobe for scouting.
