So let's have our vote and see where he lands...

I voted "yes". Why? Because we will have the best record come mid-season and the fans will take notice. Yes, even over Blake!

I voted for 25%. I really wanted to say 33%, but it wasn't an option.

No way does Aldridge get more fan votes than Blake Griffin. Griffin has all national exposure with his Kia Griffin Force ads. He's also on Sportscenter every night. Even if he goes 2-18, those two dunks will be on the nightly highlights. And to be honest, he's imporoved a lot offensively. He now has a jump hot to go with the dunks.

With the way the NBA is promoting Anthony Davis as the next big thing, I think he'll also get more fan votes than Aldridge. That could change if Davis doesn't produce consistently and Aldridge's number continue to creep up from 23/11 to 25/12.

fans vote means unworthy players make it. most casual nba fans are completely idiotic and easily swayed. i probably should have said 0 %

Prob Griffin and Davis. Definitely helps that Love is gone though.

Depends on our record. Just like Lillard. If we are smoking hot through our first 40 games I think there is a very good chance that both start.

Aldridge, IMO, is the best PF in the game, but he has near zero sizzle in the way he plays. All Star starters are voted by the fan and they typically go for the highlight reel guys. Unless he's injured, Blake Griffin will start at PF in the All Star game and LA will split backup minutes with Davis.

And remember, All Star voting is no longer 2 forwards and a center, it's 3 front court players. Aldridge was a very respectable 5th in the Western Conference front court player voting last year, and one of those who finished ahead of him is now in the East. Still, I think Durant will lead all front court players in votes by a very wide margin, followed by Blake Griffin. I think Anthony Davis will leap frog both Aldridge and Dwight Howard for the 3rd starting front court spot. So, even if Aldridge passes Howard, he still won't be voted a starter IMHO.

Even with KD out for awhile and Love traded to the East I still don't see how he can overcome the L.A. vote for Griffin and whoever the hell the chinese pick from the Rockets.

I said 25% because i just could bring myself to say absolutely no chance.
While the guy will have my vote this just doesn't seem likely.

no chance. More popular players will be voted in by casual fans. Do I think he'll have a season that deserves being a all star starter, hell yes!
