Of all the roster changes from last season, Anton Strolman is the biggest loss. Having an outstanding start for Tampa. 8 pts. in 10 gms. with a +9. Leads the team in TOI at 22+ min. Just a steady durable smart player. Shame we couldn't keep him.

Before this season Stralman averaged 23pts over a full season, so it's not like what he's doing now anyone could have expected. He is playing out of his ass through the first 10 games, and you can't judge him leaving as a good or bad move based on those 10gms when you have 394 games before that telling you he's not that good offensively.

not going to miss his offense as much as his steady defensive play. him and MCd were outstanding in our playoff run last year. So he's just continuing were he left off.

They should let Staal walk and grab a cheaper FA like Petry or Methot who are basically just as good now. Franson or Boychuk could be younger options too.
