Yeah, I'm an analytics guy so numbers interest me. I thought I'd go through and look where everyone on the roster is on the all-time scoring list for the Blazers. 3. LaMarcus Aldridge, 10,928 - trails Terry Porter at 11,330 23. Nic Batum, 4,742 - trails Lloyd Neal at 4,846 24. Wes Matthews, 4,391 - trails Nic Batum 34. Damian Lillard, 3,267 - trails Ruben Patterson at 3,318 44. Steve Blake, 2,398 - trails Kelvin Ransey at 2,470 88. Robin Lopez, 919 - trails Gerald Wallace at 921 130. Only 266 players in team history have scored 12 pts or more? Doesn't seem like a whole lot, although that would be 18 years worth of players with a full roster turnover each year.
Technically, we only have one new player this year - Kaman. The other 13 are all returning from last season and Blake is on his 3rd go around. So, at our current churn rate, thats 266 years worth of players. I am a bit surprised that: Damian Lillard is in 34th place after just two seasons. Gerald Wallace was here long enough to score 921 points. Meyers Leonard has scored more points than Will Barton. BNM
This list makes me a bit sad. Batum, Matthews and Lillard up that high means we have never had great players here long enough
301 total players for the Blazers in the record books. The bottom seven never scored. Earl Watson took 24 games to get 12 points (his total). Chris Kaman only took 1. Gramps...
Or, we're REALLY lucky to have guys like Aldridge, Batum, Matthews and Lillard on our team right now... BNM
Nic Batum is very evenly placed in the Blazer record book: Points: 23 Rebounds: 23 Assists: 19 Steals: 21 Blocks: 18 3 Pointers: 4 (trails Wes, Damon, Terry) Other than 3 pointers, not outstanding in any one area, but good in all areas. Gramps...
LaMarcus has said he's after Clyde's record. Surprised how high Batum is and Lillard is of course. Will see if any of these players are here to move.
Thought I'd update as we are nearly two months into the season. Where people are on the all-time scoring list (where they are now vs where they were after one or two games): 2. Insane that Lillard is already 6th being 2.3 seasons in. He may become 4th by next season. Also, Lillard should be the best scorer in trailblazer history if he stays healthy and stays a Blazer.
