Montreal breezing through their schedule making
mince meat out of their opponents. Rangers, still
trying to get their act together, will have a tough
time against a team with ulterior motives.
So, what else is new with this matchup.....historically.....
    (omitting last year's conquest).

If Tanner Glass was going to show he adds any value to this team it would be tonight.

3-0 after 2 and they should have more.

That was a great effort. More impressed with the 0 goals against than I am with the 5 for. Shutting out the top team in the NHL, even if they played the night before, is pretty damn good. Defense is really getting it together.

On another note, if this game was 5-0 the other way, how many threads about it would have been started? 3? 4? But we win 5-0 against the best team in the NHL and its a ghost town here. Gotta love it.

The Rangers were all over their nemesis. Played aggressively.
Caused havoc in the offensive zone. Played well in all 3 zones.
They need to string several wins in a row.....been a while

Still have a long ways to go.

They skated. When they skate, they simple outplay basically every team. They don't always finish enough but they outplay the team. l suspect Stempniak will replace somebody on the 4th line now.

You kind of nailed it. It has gotten to the point where it is so negative in here it is difficult to read sometimes. Team is awful. Coach is awful. Trade this guy. Trade that guy. Let's make this major trade. It is way over the top. And when we win and play well crickets. But trust me, we get beat in TB and it will be all is awful. See you next year. We need a major trade. On and on.

From the start I felt this was a good solid team that could make a run again in May/June. I think we just need to add one more solid top 9 forward and we'll be in very good shape. In the meantime play Duclair/Miller on the 3rd line with Hags and Hayes and see where it goes.

We have had a ton of injuries, and overall we are in a solid spot. Now we have played a ton of home games, but as we all know this team has always been a very good road team, so I think we'll be fine. McD should only miss 3 or 4 more games, and then away we go. Wouldn't surprise me if he is back next Monday against TB, or worst case the following game at Detroit.

We are almost fully healthy for the 1st time this season, so have some faith and some patience. We are in a very solid spot considering we have had many injuries and "haven't played well" game in and game out.
