Best catch ever? Hard to find one better. Let's talk about the throw...Eli was sailing balls all night and cost the Giants the game. Time to bench him?
I can't remember seeing a better catch. Eli's INT was bad but they still took the lead late and then the defense was a disgrace. Romo had all century to throw the ball.
Tom, I'm glad you posted this....I was watching the game, and my mouth hit the floor when Beckham JR. made that one handed amazing, almost impossible catch. Yet that's who Beckham JR. is, the King of 1 handed catches. So much so, I can't remember a more talented WR than Beckham. Jerry Rice and Art Monk made some nice one handed catches, but nothing like Beckhams unbelievable TD Catch. Did anyone see the bit part on Beckham Jr. at half time. Showing film of Eli throwing to Beckham at the New Orleans High School, which Beckham and both Manning bros, played for. Eli was throwing to Beckham since he was a Jr or Sophmore in H.S. As much, they played another video clip, of Beckham warming up while using only one hand to catch. Using his RH arm/hand, he was shagging balls throw to his far left side, while sweeping his hand to make those catches, and like the Harlem Globetrotters, he never missed a catch....we're in for some outrageous fun, simply watching this young stud... His Father was Shaq's roomate thru the LSU Years.....and still keep in touch, ie Beckham Sr. and Jr.
I agree, in all of our years, Rick, I too have never seen such an outrageous incredible one handed catch. And to think Beckham plays that way, whenever necessary. He practices those 1 handed catches. I don't think we will see anything like Beckham. Just to think he's still young enough, if he can ever win a SB ring, I imagine he will pass up Calvin Johnson as the #1 WR, in the NFL....IMO, he already has....
This link will show you the video, from the snap of the ball, to the infamous CATCH....!
He's a special player and should hopefully be so for years to come. The Giants need to shape this team around him so his talent isn't wasted.
