Browns safety Tashaun Gipson's regular season might be over, but he suffered no anterior cruciate ligament damage in his right knee during Sunday's game against Atlanta, a source told ESPN.

Gipson is believed to have suffered a Grade 3 MCL injury, the source said. Coach Mike Pettine acknowledged MCL damage, and said Gipson could have PCL damage as well.

He is considered questionable for a return in 2014 but could be a possibility for the playoffs in January if the Browns make the postseason.
