BROWN'S TOWN Davis found good fortune, so he's sharing it with kin Friday, January 27, 2006Roger BrownPlain Dealer Columnist Browns star inside linebacker An dra Davis got a deserved five- year, $20 million contract extension last month - and he's wasted little time passing his good fortune on to some worthy folks. Davis has just returned from his native Florida after overseeing the construction of a luxurious new home - fully furnished - in suburban Jacksonville for his mother, Kaffa. Davis didn't stop there; while down south, the linebacker also paid off the remaining mortgage on his grandmother's home. Both women were instrumental in raising, molding and inspiring Davis, now entering his fifth season with the Browns. Browns defensive back Michael Lehan leaves for Iraq shortly. He'll be among several NFL players visiting soldiers on a league-sponsored tour. One underrated plus Browns offensive line coach Jeff Davidson may bring to his added role as assistant head coach: Davidson could serve as a respected buffer between the team's offensive unit and O-coordinator Maurice Carthon, who rubbed some players the wrong way last season. Browns backup quarterback Trent Dilfer will be a Super Bowl analyst for the NFL Network. Dilfer impressed network execs with his work as a playoff correspondent. Don't be surprised if the Browns pursue Green Bay defensive lineman Aaron Kampman, a high-energy player and unrestricted free agent. From HERE

We need a DE pretty bad (to replace Wynn, not from his injury but just because he sucks)
