49ers | Rumph traded to WashingtonMon, 14 Aug 2006 16:30:07 -0700Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers traded CB Mike Rumph to the Washington Redskins in exchange for WR Taylor Jacobs.
Not really, Shawntae Spencer and Walt Harris are going to be starting I believe. Now granted, It's going to be a long season if Walt Harris is starting for your team.Backup CB who never reached expectations for a Backup WR who never had expectations to live up to probably a fair deal. But I have to ask for a team trying to win it all.... Why the hell do they keep loading up on cast-offs from the 49ers....First Brandon Lloyd, then Andre Carter, now Mike Rumph...what exactly are they thinking?
Mike Rumph hasnt done shit in 3 years hes been there , andre carter as much as i liked him hasnt really done all that and hes undersized and as for brandon lloyd , well look at the vid below , washington can have him.

Crazy.</div>I think the change of scenery has been good for him, he's been impressive in camp and forced a fumble against the Bears...
Rumph is a solid player when he is at the top of his game but the Skins let go a deep threat for the long passes "when healthy", but it was worth it because they have Brandon Lloyd and David Patten so there really wasnt much use for jacobs... Rumph will add depth and if someone goes down in the season he is a great replacement to bring in.
