[IMG]First Round 1. San Francisco 49ers (2-14), Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech, 6-4, 235, Jr. Alex Smith needs targets. Would be a great tandem along with Vernon Davis. 2. Houston Texans (2-14), Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame, 6-4, 231, Sr. David Carr is not the answer, after he flops again this season he will be gone, making QB the #1 priority. Quinn has all the tools to be great. 3. Detroit Lions (3-13), Paul Posluszny, ILB/OLB, Penn State, 6-2, 229, Sr. The LB core is upgraded with Simms, but not complete. Defense should be a priority. Posluszny is the best defensive prospect in the class. 4. Oakland Raiders (3-13), Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin, 6-8, 306, Sr. Thomas would play RT opposite Gallery. Together they would form a great young tackle tandem. 5. New Orleans Saints (4-12), Dwayne Jarrett, WR, Southern California, 6-5 210, Jr. Horn and Stallworth are under-achievers, and their days may be numbered in N.O. Plug in another great offensive weapon from USC. 6. Tennessee (4-12), Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson, 6-5, 260, Sr. Adams would fit nicely in the Titans scheme, and would add more pressure on opposing QB's to take pressure off a lack-luster secondary. 7. New York Jets (4-12), Adrian Peterson, HB, Oklahoma, 6-2, 215, Jr. With Martin on his way out, this is a no-brainer pick here, and a steal at #7. 8. Buffalo Bills (5-11), Drew Stanton, QB, Michigan State, 6-3, 230, Sr. Stanton is a big athletic QB with alot of experience and upside. Would be the sensible pick here unless Losman finds the light. 9. St. Louis Rams (5-11), Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville, 6-4, 224, Jr. It was rumored the Rams were in interested in Cutler last year, so expect a QB here if any of the top three are still on the board. 10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-11), LaRon Landry, FS, Louisiana State, 6-2, 204, Sr. Landry is a smart instictive athletic player. He would help bolster an already decent secondary. Can play either safety position. 11. Atlanta Falcons (6-10), Brandon Meriweather, SS, Miami, 6-0, 188, Sr. Lawer Milloy will show him the ropes before he retires. Another great safety from the U. A ball hawk who hits like a truck. Good combo. 12. Cleveland Browns (6-10), Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina, 6-4, 191, So. Along with Edwards and Wilson, Rice would help form one of the most promising young WR trio's in the NFL. Also another target for Frye. 13. Philadelphia Eagles (7-9), Patrick Willis, ILB, Mississippi, 6-2, 230, Sr. Trotter is nearing the end. Willis is a warrior, playing most of last season with a broken arm. Another young defensive prospect for Philly. 14. San Diego Chargers (7-9), Sam Baker, OT, Southern California, 6-5, 305, Sr. Eventually Marcus McNeill will eventually settle in at LT, with Baker on the right side San Diego would have a good pair of tackles. 15. Green Bay Packers (7-9), Marshawn Lynch, HB, California, 5-11, 217, Jr. Lynch is a back with alot of similarities to Ahmad Green, whose tank is running dry. 16. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8), Justin Blalock, OG/RT, Texas, 6-4, 329, Sr. Blalock is a great prospect, who would fill a hole at guard, or could play RT. 17. Washington Redskins (8-8), Kyle Young, C/OG, Fresno State, 6-5, 330, Sr. If they choose to take advantage of the draft this year Young would be a great pick. Better prospect than Mangold was last year. 18. Arizona Cardinals (9-7), H.B. Blades, ILB, Pittsburgh, 6-0, 240, Sr. LB is a definite need. Blades is a hitter with a nose for the ball. Suring up the LB core could be the missing piece to their puzzle. 19. Cincinnatti Bengals (9-7), Greg Olsen, TE, Miami, 6-5, 252, Jr. Tight End is one a the few holes the Bengals have. He would be just another great target for Carson Palmer. 20. New England Patriots (10-6), Jeff Samardjiza, WR, Notre Dame, 6-5, 216, Sr. Wide Receiver is a hole, and Samardjiza has been under Charlie Weis's wing for two seasons. Makes sense to me. 21. Minnesota Vikings (10-6), Michael Bush, HB, Louisville, 6-3, 250, Sr. Teams like to have two good RB's, he's just too good to pass up here for the Vikings. Great value pick. 22. Chicago Bears (11-5), Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State, 6-5, 262, Jr. Since the Bears totally forgot to draft a TE last year, and well offense for that matter. They fill a big void with Miller. 23. Miami Dolphins (11-5), Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia, 6-5, 250, Sr. Moses would be a perfect fit here, he fills a need at OLB. He also gives Saban another SEC player. Would be a steal this late in round one. 24. Kansas City Chiefs (11-5), Jason Hill, WR, Washington State, 6-0, 210, Sr. WR is a big need for Kansas City. Hill is the best one left at this point. Simple as that. Ginn could be an option, but Hill is more NFL ready. 25. Baltimore Ravens (11-5), Michael Griffin, FS, Texas, 6-0, 205, Sr. Would move to SS and fill a big hole in the ravens secondary. Along Reed, McCallister, and Rolle could form the top secondary in the NFL. 26. Carolina Panthers (12-4), Levi Brown, OT, Penn State, 6-5, 324, Sr. Brown would be an immediate starter at LT. great value pick that fills a hole. Big physical blocker who could help pave the way for Williams. 27. Dallas Cowboys (12-4), Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Ohio State, 6-0, 170, Jr. After T.O. the WR position drops off. Ginn is raw, but has unlimited upside. Also would double as a return man immediatly. 28. Seattle Seahawks (12-4), Josh Beekman, OG, Boston College, 6-2, 325, Sr. Beekman can thank Minnesota for stealing Hutchings, because now he gets to be a first round pick. 29. Indianapolis Colts (13-3), Tom Zbikowski, SS, Notre Dame, 5-11, 208, Sr. Zbikowski slides over to free safety to hide his lack of coverage skills, and take advantage of his athletic ability and knowledge of the game. 30. Denver Broncos (13-3), Frank Okam, DT, Texas, 6-5, 315, Jr. Okam is a steal here, and will help sure up the D-line. His disrupting style of play would allow other to get to the QB. 31. New York Giants (12-4), Daymeion Hughes, CB, California, 6-2, 188, Sr. Hughes would help sure up the secondary, and improve an improving defense. 32. Pittsburgh Steelers (14-2), Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska, 6-6, 280, Sr. Carriker is a physical freak who knows how to get to QB's and disrupt things. Pittsburgh doesn't pass on guys like that. Second Round 33. San Francisco 49ers (2-14), Lawrence Jackson, DE, Southern California, 6-5, 265, Jr. 34. Houston Texans (2-14), Brandon Siler, ILB, Florida, 6-2, 235, Jr. 35. Detroit Lions (3-13), Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona, 6-1, 180, Jr. 36. Oakland Raiders (3-13), Matt Spaeth, TE, Minnesota 6-6, 270, Sr. 37. New Orleans Saints (4-12), Vince Hall, ILB, Virginia Tech, 6-0, 236, Jr. 38. Tennessee (4-12), Steve Smith, WR, Southern California, 6-0, 195, Sr. 39. New York Jets (4-12), Alan Branch, DT/DE, Michigan, 6-6, 311, Jr. 40. Buffalo Bills (5-11), Tim Crowder, DE, Texas, 6-4, 270, Sr. 41. St. Louis Rams (5-11), Rufus Alexander, OLB, Oklahoma, 6-1, 231, Sr. 42. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-11), DeMario Pressley, DT/DE, N.C. State, 6-4, 288, Jr. 43. Atlanta Falcons (6-10), Kenny Irons, HB, Auburn, 5-11, 200, Sr. 44. Cleveland Browns (6-10), Doug Free, OT, Northern Illinois, 6-7, 302, Sr. 45. Philadelphia Eagles (7-9), Brian Leonard, FB/HB, Rutgers, 6-2, 235, Sr. 46. San Diego Chargers (7-9), Paul Williams, WR, Fresno State, 6-2, 210, Sr. 47. Green Bay Packers (7-9), Steve Breaston, WR, Michigan, 6-1, 182, Sr. 48. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8), LaMarr Woodley, DE/OLB, Michigan, 6-2, 268, Sr. 49. New York Jets (4-12) (from WAS), Eric Weddle, S/CB, Utah, 6-0, 200, Sr. 50. Arizona Cardinals (9-7), Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh, 6-0, 190, Jr. 51. Cincinnatti Bengals (9-7), Quinn Pitcock, DT, Ohio State, 6-3, 295, Sr. 52. New England Patriots (10-6), Leon Hall, CB, Michigan, 5-11, 191, Sr. 53. Minnesota Vikings (10-6), Samson Satele, OG, Hawaii, 6-3, 311, Sr. 54. Chicago Bears (11-5), Aaron Rouse, SS, Virginia Tech, 6-4, 221, Sr. 55. Although I think the Rams will be AT LEAST .500 this year, so I don't think they'll pick that high, I wouldn't mind seeing Brohm in navy/gold.

If your 2nd overall pick didn't prove this completely useless, your 5th overall did by the description.

QUOTE (Street @ Sep 4 2006, 12:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How are the Jets going to take Eric Weedle over Troy Smith?
Because we dont need a QB with Clemens on roster. The mock is really too soon to predict who is going to be drafted where, especially after watching Michael Bush's stock take a huge hit when he broke his leg last night, but I will comment on that I think you are a bit off on the needs for the Jets. 1- Runningback (Hmmm, I wonder why. [IMG] )2- Nose Tackle (We need a 3-4 Nose Tackle, not a pure tweener DE/DT, but a guy who can stay in there and take the Double Team consistantly)3- Wide Reciever (McCareins is crap, Cotchery is best suited for a #3 role)4- Right Tackle (Anthony Clement isnt exactly a long-term answer)5- Recieveing TE (Chris Baker is solid, but definately upgradeable)6- Pass Rushing OLB (Provided that Bryan Thomas proves not to be the answer, I think he will be which is why this is ranked 6th)Giving us a CB/S (Which we are ok in), a tweener DE/DT (Which we have plenty of in Shaun Ellis, Dewayne Robertson, Kimo von Oelhoffen) and an ILB (Eric Barton and Jonathan Vilma) doenst make much sense.

The Jets need a WR bad. Also Buster Davis? We have 3 starter quality ILB's, we need OLB's, not ILB's. Also Alan Branch? We have the DE/DT tweeners we need in Ellis and Robertson. The only Jets pick that makes sense is Adrian Peterson.

Bush was injured, his stock will drop. And Smardija guy from Notre Dame has a contract wth theCubs that allows him to play College Football, and will not be entering the draft.

Just look at Drew Henson who went to the New York Yankees before decideing to switch over to the NFL. I believe he still has the right to choose which sport it is that he wants to play.

i thought he had an agreement with the Cubs, so that in exchange for him being allowed to play college football this year, he is automatically in their system

Or take Breaston with the 2nd pick and then Harrett with the 3rd rounder.
