Concussion-plagued Carolina Panthers middle linebacker Dan Morgan will likely return for another season with the team after agreeing to a restructured contract that includes playing for the NFL veteran minimum base salary this season.According to NFL Players Association documents, Morgan?s base salary for 2007 is currently listed as $750,000, the minimum salary for a player with six years of NFL experience.</div>Wow this is freaking great news. :beerbang2: :beerbang2: It helps our cap situation out, and insures us a bit should he get hurt again (5 concussions in 6 NFL seasons). He was making far too much cash to just sit on IR every season...
He needs to retire. It's not worth it a decade from now when he can't remember who was on his team in his playing days.

Concussions are very serious, just look at Wayne Chrebet having to retire early, and it plaguing the careers of people like Steve Young, Ted Johnson and many others. I like Dan Morgan as a player, but he should just retire. He's made a ton of money over his career and it's not worth the brain damage he can cause himself.
