The commercial will be shot in Toronto on Thursday, April 26, 2007. The campaign marks the “Campbell’s Chunky” soup brand’s tenth consecutive season sponsoring the NFL and will once again play on the popular “Mama’s Boys” theme. The campaign will feature a combination of the NFL players’ real-life moms serving “Chunky” soup to their sons to help satisfy their NFL sized hunger. In addition to the eight NFL players featured in the campaign, “Campbell’s Chunky” soup will also continue relationships with the players’ teams throughout the course of the 2007-2008 NFL season. All eight athletes will be featured in television advertising set to debut early in September at the start of the NFL season. The eight NFL stars follow in the footsteps of past “Campbell’s Chunky” soup spokesmen and NFL greats, including Donovan McNabb, Reggie White, John Elway, Terrell Davis, Jerome Bettis, and Brian Urlacher, among others. “With our biggest roster of NFL players, we anticipate an exciting year with the NFL,” said David Allard, Brand Manager, ‘Campbell’s Chunky’ soup. “The eight NFL players are truly a perfect fit for the ‘Chunky’ brand – good and hearty!” The campaign will feature two new barbecue inspired varieties called “Chunky” Southwestern Chicken and Three Bean Grilled Pork.
