According to espn Troy Brown is expected to sign a one year deal next week. No amount has been reported but it is rumored to be above the league minimum.

I knew they would resign him sooner or later, I just didn't think it would be this late.

Yeah, I'm surprised that it took this long to re-sign him, too. I guess age didn't help him on the free agent market.

Still...a solid retainer for the Patriots. The guy is unselfish and doesn't bitch about having to play both ways. For a league minimum salary, you can't beat his contributions.

Brown didn't really try and shop himself..I don't think he even visited anyone...pretty much I think he was trying to decide between retirement or play for the minimum...I'm glad he came back..maybe he can help put David Terrel on path he should have been on since day one...Troy Brown is everything the patriots stand for and more...but I was surprised a team like the lions or cardinals that have talented young receivers didn't try to nab him for a 1-2 year deal maybe everyone new it was New England or nothing for Brown.

he was offered more money to go to the saints i think was the team, but he wanted to stay in new england and his family wanted him to stay as well. he took less money than the saints were offering him as well. he is a truly unselfish player.

Yes, a true Pack fan. The Packers are falling apart, so now he's got to jump on the Dolphins because they're on their way up.

My comments would be a lot more clever than that. No offense MKIV, but i tend to have a more subtl sarcasm than you. Although, i do like the blunt laying down of the truth.
