I do like Theriot. I dunno about a young Jeter, though. At the same age Jeter had already won 4 World Series, was a 5 time all-star, had won ROY, a gold glove, AS MVP and WS MVP. He also finished top 10 in batting 4 times, and top 10 in MVP 4 times.

Theriot has a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongy way to go before any Jeter comparisons can be made.

Im not matching the ages up, im matching up the seasons, as this is Theriot's first full season in the bigs....and, Theriot could still get all those things, although not likely, but he has something Jeter can never have no matter what he does, an NCAA Championship....
whos talking about the major leagues? life doesnt stop and start where you see fit...and put some pants on

young can imply the age of the player or the age of the players career....but, in this case, my statement is that Ryan Theriot, today, reminds me of what Derek Jeter was like, when he 1st came up with the Yankees, in 1996....I hope that is clear enough for you
In that case, for the sake of clarity, Ryan Theriot, in the year 2007, reminds me of a 22 year old Derek Jeter, in 1996, which was his 1st full year in the major leagues....
