A Lille statement following the rejection of Giggs's appeal:- "The feeling of injustice is shared with all of those who love football."

Can anybody explain the actions of this club? Do they not know the rules? Why have they not apologised for what went on after the goal was allowed? Could anybody see Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool behaving in this way?

It was unsportsmanlike when Henry did it, it's unsportsmanlike now that Giggs has done it.

Get over it; Rules or no rules, it wasn't a very nice thing to do and nothing to be proud of. Every team has one or two victories they'd rather bury in the closet, it happens sometimes.

Lille behaved badly and you can't justify it, but they do have a very good reason to be furious.

It was the two incidents together that infuriated them: the disallowed goal followed by the quick free kick. They have taken things a little too far though.
