<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Spartanfan2003:</div><div class="quote_post">My top two candidates on the list as of now - 1.Paul Davis 2.Chris Hill</div> And both are from Mich. State.........What a coincidence......
Of course they are. I was just joking around. I'll post my serious thoughts after I've had a night's sleep.
I don't really see how Warrick will get it. Syracuse will be good, but they aren't going to be a final four team. Look at TJ Ford last year, Texas was in the final four. I would say Gordon has a much better chance because UConn is going to be real good.
Uconn is overrated...They might have the same team as last year but that team was overrated too and they wouldnt be amazing like alot of people think they will be..My money would be Ike Diogu on Zona St..
Zona St? Do you watch college bball? Ike is good but Zona St isn't a great team. UConn is overrated? Yeah ok, they have probably 2 All American candidates (Okafor and Brown), a 2 year starter at PG in Taliek Brown, a top 5 player in the country and All American (Charlie Villanueva) and a good bench.
My money is on Okafur, he dominated the NCAA last year and only got better as the year went on. He's a bruiser, has a real soft touch so his offense should get better to go along with his killer 'D' and he plays such a clean game- Doesn't make many mistakes. Plus the NCAA will probably want to reward a guy like Okafur who would've been a lottery pick last year, but stayed in school anyhow.
but people that are not on the candidate list could win the award right? i don't remember t.j. ford being on the list last year besides most of those players are seniors some people around the program said he didnt deserve the award last year because one of the award merits is that the the winner will make a attempt the graduate....and t.j. ford didnt......
Yeah, TJ Ford was on the list last year. Carmelo Anthony was on the list, but he was taken off because of his grades.
