Former Boston Celtic and Cleveland Cavalier Eric Williams has agreed to terms with the New Jersey Nets, joining Richard Jefferson and Jason Kidd (for how long?)

The deal is reportedly for 3 years, $12 million.

The Nets already have Richard Jefferson at the small forward, so expect Williams to come off the bench, unless the Nets want him to play an undersized power forward.

Well, don't be surprised if the Nets use Eric at PF a little bit. Rod Thorn said that they like it how Eric can play BOTH forward positions.

Eric Williams at power forward is like playing Yinka Dare at PG.

Well, Eric at PF sounds very dumb, but it might work agains small powerforwards, but none is as small as he is! I'd hope to get a sign-and-trade for Williams, but it wouldn't make any sense for Nets, so it was just a dream that never got true.

Eric Williams wont be starting at the 4 spot, that will most likely go to Aaron Williams barring any trade or aquistion of a more suitable fit. But Eric Williams will be seeing his fare share of minutes at both foward spots depending on matchups and rotations. I dont think Coach Franks would have him matched up against the really top Power fowards with back to the basket game. But Eric can handle the 4's that hang out on the perimeter alot.
