<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Traditionally, NBA head coaches flip the keys to one of their assistants to handle game situations in summer league play. That suggests new Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey will name his staff in the next few days or will take more of a lead role as the Wolves begin play in their own Minnesota Summer League on Friday at Target Center.

Starting Tuesday, the Wolves will hold a three-day minicamp for their summer roster of rookies, undrafted free agents and other hopefuls. In addition to 2005 draft picks Rashad McCants and Bracey Wright and 2003 selection Ndudi Ebi, several players with NBA experience -- guard Jamison Brewer, guard Paul McPherson and forward Brandon Hunter -- will participate.

Notable college players include Gophers center Jeff Hagen, Duke forward Nick Horvath and Oklahoma State guard John Lucas.

The Wolves begin play at 7 p.m. Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks and No. 1 draft pick Andrew Bogut. They will face squads from New York (7 p.m. July 16), Houston (7:30 p.m. July 17), Toronto (7 p.m. July 18) and Indiana (3 p.m. July 19).

All teams play every day. Single-day general admission tickets are $10 and are available at the Target Center box office.</div>
