<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TORONTO (AP) -- All-Star forward Chris Bosh is out indefinitely with a sprained left thumb, leaving the Raptors without their top scorer and rebounder.

He was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's loss in Milwaukee, colliding with teammate Pape Sow after chasing down a loose ball. He left for the locker room, then returned to the sidelines with his thumb wrapped.

Bosh's thumb was examined Monday by Toronto hand specialist Dr. Brent Graham. He will be re-evaluated by team physician Dr. Paul Marks in seven to 10 days to determine when he can return.

The third-year forward became an All-Star for the first time this season. He's averaging 22.5 points and 9.2 rebounds, and is the only player in the NBA to average more than 22 points, shoot better than 50 percent from the field and 80 percent from the foul line.

The Raptors will attempt to sign Bosh to a long-term contract this summer</div>

As I stated in another topic, this could actually be good for the Raptors. Since they aren't going to make the playoffs anyways, they would lose more without Bosh and possibly get a higher pick. Villanueva and Graham would also get more playing time and more shots now that Bosh is gone.

Totally agree. This is a win-win situation. We'll let Bosh heal up, and give some time to Pape and Charlie. And of course we'll lose more games, while not officially tanking the season.

Yeh i don't mind this one bit. Bosh has been playing over 40 MPG. Also he might be playing for Team USA at the FIBA world Championships this summer. So it's nice for him to get some rest.

toronto can afford to rest him more for future considerations

play the young players and see what they can do
especially those 10 day contract boys

should be a good way to find out what line ups and who to keep/not to keep for years to come
