That Smush is jealous of Kobe and Chris Mihm is not too happy with what's become of Kwame Brown since he's been injured.

I'll post why I believe this stuff, just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed these two things.

Haven't noticed Mihm, but I know what you mean about Smush. He has an inflated ego about himself, and Brian Shaw also mentioned it in his interview about the team. Smush needs to be reminded about how lucky he is to be in this situation.

I dont think Smush is jealous. He's just shy. Besides, Smush and Sash are Kobe's favorite teammates.

Smush does have an ego, I think his college coach even said that he is proabably jealous of Kobe but will never say it. Theres nothing wrong with having an ego as long as it doesn't make his performance on the court go down. Sometimes, it works in your favour. Kobe has an ego and he uses to his advantage, he thinks he's the best player in the NBA. There's nothing wrong with thinking that, it just enhances his ability to play the game. Have you ever heard Kobe say a fellow player that is currently playing in the NBA great or better than him? I certianly haven't.

As far as Chris Mihm jealous of Kwame Brown? No. However, he's worried about losing his spot, as he already has done. I'm sure anyone would be worried about their spot if they were sat out injured and another player playing the same spot flourished. It's great because it may drive Mihm to work harder and become a better player. Competition is great.

I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't act so damn stupid on what I was asking, jesus christ.

THanks Shape and a couple others for actually responding.

If you guys remember the 81 point game, when they interviewed Smush after the game, the lady was asking Smush on what he thought about the game and Kobe's impressive 81 point game performance.

"I was actually more impressed with our team's defense than the 81 points"

^^^Damn smush, that is something you just don't say. Also in the beginning of the interview he was like "Huh, Kobe scored 81?" I'm sure that was a joke but still.

During the games, Smush is more hesistant in passing to Kobe, call me crazy, but watch the games, you'll notice this.

The players who love passing to Kobe are Lamar Odom, Brian Cook, Luke, and Sasha, and a couple others, but definitely not Smush. Smush has to realize who's team this is and what role he has to play, he should feel very fortunate to be playing STARTING POINT GUARD FOR THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS. I mean he's a point guard, and he at the time refrains on passing to Kobe, sorry that doesn't work for me. I'm not saying ALWAYS pass to Kobe, but there are times when Kobe has good post position and Smush doesn't pass.

About Mihm and Kwame, Mihm is looking pretty unhappy on that bench. Since the new year started, Chris made a resolution to start making a major impact on the team, and he did exactly that. He was playing VERY well, the 2nd most consistent Laker behind Kobe.

Then he gets injured, Kwame comes in, starts playing how he should have the whole year, and everyone forgets about Mihm and all the hard work he has put in for the Lakers.

As much as Chris is excited about the Lakers making it to the Playoffs, it has come at a cost for him; he has lost his starting role. That starting role meant a lot to him, for individual growth especially.

Now when people talk about the Lakers and the big 3, it's Kobe, Lamar, and Kwame ALL OF A SUDDEN.

There's some more stuff, but that's why I made the statement in my first post, so instead of the "huhs" and the "what the hel is he talking about". Just use half a brian for a second before you try and make me look like i'm a moron, thanks.

    Nice subliminal. LOL joke.

As mentioned in another thread, It would be interesting to start Mihm at the PF spot, although I do think it would be great for the team if Luke get's more minutes. He seems to be more confident and less nervous. It only cost two game winning situations to break from his shell [IMG]

What I notice about Smush is the funk he shows when his man doubles off him to guard Kobe, but Kobe doesn't pass him the ball. However, what he doesn't understand, is he needs to create a passing angle or move his butt for Kobe to find him. Instead Smush just tries to spot up for 3 point shot instead of reading and reacting to the defense.

Sorry, not to change the topic or anything but did anybody realise the Lakers passing up the open 3's against the Suns? There were around five occasions when they would have normally taken the 3 point shot but instead they made the extra pass and made a drive towards the basket.

Yes shape, very good point, Smush is an explosive player when going to the basket, I'd like him cutting towards the basket instead of spotting up for the 3's while we cross our fingers he makes it.

Laker_fan, Phil Jackson said he might play Mihm in the PF position along with Kwame at Center once Mihm gets healthier. He said it would hurt us a bit offensively as we would get slower/clumsier, and lose perimeter shooters, but said it would greatly help us on defense.

    We'll see what happens.

I know what you we're talking about (sort of) when I read your first post, but let's say another fan came in not knowing a damn thing about the Lakers, he or she would be lost.

I still don't see the whole Smush-Kobe situation, but I definately see Mihm frustrated on the bench out there and not being able to contribute.

Yup, this was the game plan the Lakers have been working on to beat the Suns. In the previous meetings the Lakers fell into the trap of trying to out shoot the Suns. The Suns like baiting teams into settling for jumpers because those are lower percentage shots and it leads to long rebounds for them to get out on the fast break.

This is why the win on Sunday was big for this young Laker team. They bought into what the coaching staff designed and it led to a blowout victory. Having Nash and Bell on the bench, didn't really make a difference because it was about offensive execution and attacking the basket.

The Lakers still need to play better on defense. The Suns were getting a lot of wide open looks in the game, but just weren't hitting. I'd like to see the Lakers put all the pressure on Tim Thomas to beat them. I noticed when the ball gets to him it stops and he shoots instead of making the extra pass.

Did anyone see that Laker-Insider thing with Smush Parker? I managed to watch it online and he made a couple of remarks about LA, whether they are true or not, I don't know. The one that stands out went something like this:

Smush and camera crew on the streets of New York

Smush(talking to the camera crew): This is what I miss about New York, people talking on the streets.

    Camera crew stops

Smush: It's ok, this isn't LA, people talk to you, they're not rude.

I also heard he turned up to that Vegas Casino night dressed up in thugged out NY clothes while others came with suits and stuff.
