    Great read-

I think Bonzi Wells, Carlos Boozer and Derek Fisher should all be targets this off season.

One scenario I heard was the Lakers trading Mihm for Fisher and swapping 1st Round picks with the Warriors.

The Lakers would draft at #9 and the Warriors would draft at #26.

The reasoning for the Lakers to make this trade is obvious, they get a veteran PG who's familiar with the Triangle. Something PJax and Mitch both said they want to pursue. Plus the Lakers improve their draft position.

Why do the Warriors do it?

They need a servicable starting center, and Chris Mihm fits a huge need for them, plus he has a cap friendly contract. The Warriors are already loaded with young, prospects and several projects since they've been in the draft for the past 12 seasons. There isn't a dominant center to pursue in this year's draft class, so selecting a player a #9 will only create another logjam on their roster.

The Warriors also need to shed some cap space to re-sign Pietrus and create some flexibility when Monta Ellis, Biedrins, and Diogu's contract extensions come around.

The question becomes how desperate are the Warriors to unload Fisher's contract? And do either team want to help out each other since they are within the same division and could be fighting for playoff positioning next season?

I don't know if I like that trade. This year's draft class is pretty weak, but we put ourselves in a better shot to get a good PG. What if we don't get a good PG
? We basically then traded Mihm for Fisher.

I don't know what to think of this...but thought you guys might be interested in taking a look at it...to me it just looks like a shift of players..but it does meet the requirements and each team gets what they want

    Meh...

Rafer Alston is pretty expensive for what he is, and if Mutumbo was traded I think he'd just retire- he's said he wants to finish his career in Houston, GM's know that and wouldn't make a play for him, simply because his contract isn't big enough to take off the books if he did retire.

if we don't get KG w/o trading odom, i hope we could trade mihm, cook, mckie, george and some picks for carlos boozer (or randolph, i heard he wants out, how much is he anyway???) and use the MLE to sign a quality PG, and they said that we'd re-sign laron profit and try to get/sign kareem rush??? or a G/F???

    06-07 lineup:
    PG:FA guard, Smush, Sasha
    SG:Kobe, Profit, G/F
    SF:Odom, Walton, G/F
    PF:Boozer, Turiaf
    C:Bynum, Kwame
