    The home portion of the Timberwolves? schedule includes 19 weekend dates (10 - Friday, 5 - Saturday, 4 - Sunday). The home schedule includes 13 Wednesday, seven Tuesday and two Monday night games. There are no home games slated for Thursdays. The Wolves longest homestand is a five-game affair (Feb. 21-March 2), beginning with Charlotte and wrapping up against Utah. Additionally, Minnesota enjoys two four-game homestands (Jan. 3-10 and April 7-13). The team's longest road trip of the season is a pair of five-game trips (Jan 21-27 and March 16-23). The Wolves open the season with four of the team's first five games on the road, while conversely, the team closes with five of its last seven games at Target Center.

    Highlights of the home portion of the Timberwolves? schedule include the following: two visits apiece from the Western Conference Finalists Dallas Mavericks (Feb. 27 and April 11) and Phoenix Suns (Jan. 29 and Feb. 23), the defending World Champion Miami Heat with Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal make their lone visit to Target Center on Friday, March 30, the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James' only appearance is Tuesday, April 3.

    Minnesota is scheduled to appear on national television on nine separate occasions, highlighted by two ESPN dates: Friday, Jan. 19 vs. Detroit and Wednesday, Jan. 31 vs. Sacramento. The Wolves will also appear on NBA TV on seven occasions.

    The Wolves will play Northwest Division opponents four times each (two home games/two road games), conference opponents outside the division three or four times each and Eastern Conference foes twice (once at home and once on the road). This year, Golden State, the L.A. Clippers, Memphis and San Antonio are the four Western Conference opponents the Wolves play just three times.

    Minnesota?s 2006-07 local television broadcast will be released at a later date, as will the date single-game home tickets go on sale. Following are key facts regarding the Wolves? 2006-07 regular-season schedule, as well as a copy of the schedule with dates and starting times.

    By month, the schedule breaks down as follows: November (6 home, 8 away = 14 total), December (7 home, 7 away = 14 total), January (9 home, 8 away = 17 total), February (7 home, 5 away = 12 total), March (6 home, 9 away = 15 total), April (6 home, 4 away = 10 total).

    By day, the schedule breaks down as follows: Monday (2 home, 7 away = 9 total), Tuesday (7 home, 4 away = 11 total), Wednesday (13 home, 5 away = 18 total), Thursday (0 home, 0 away = 0 total), Friday (10 home, 11 away = 21 total), Saturday (5 home, 8 away = 13 total), Sunday (4 home, 6 away = 10 total).

    The Wolves enjoy one five-game (Feb. 21-March 2), and two four-game (Jan. 3-10, April 7-13) homestands.

    Minnesota embarks on five road trips of three or more games in length, including two season-long five-game excursions: Jan 21-27 (Phoenix, Utah, Portland, Seattle, L.A. Clippers) and Feb. 16-23 (Golden State, L.A. Lakers, Phoenix, Sacramento, Seattle).

    Of the 19 sets of back-to-back games, five are of the home-away variety, nine are away-away and five are away-home. There are no home-home back-to-back games on the schedule this year. Last season, the Wolves had 17 sets of back-to-back contests, down from 21 in 2004-05.

    The Wolves will open the regular-season slate versus Sacramento on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Target Center, marking the sixth straight season the club has opened at home, following three consecutive campaigns the team had started the season on the road. The Wolves are 10-7 in season openers, including 8-1 in season openers at home. Minnesota opened the 2005-06 campaign with a 90-86 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
