celts up by 2 after 1 bargnani with a real nice post up and turn around jumper in the lane. showing some nice low post footwork and a real soft touch from mid range.
Sorry for not making a preview kids, I have a mid term tomorow. From what I've seen, them three cats Boston got in the backcourt (Rondo, Bassy, Ray) are damn quick and talented.
Anyone have a link the boxscore/play-by-play? I can't seem to find it. BTW, LMFAO at your user title Fever.
Thanks Hustler. Raps up by 3. Garbajosa looks like a solid pickup, but I don't understand why we're playing Bosh so much. Bargnani an awful 0-4 at the 3 pt. line.
Damn, Raptors down by 2. Don't know how much time is left, cause I can't see it on that boxscore page.
<div class="quote_poster">Chutney Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Is it going to OT?</div> Looks like it according to courtside. Is anyone watching this on Raptors TV? Who is playing well ?
few observations: celtic perspective -rondo is an absolute stud, third best player on the court behind bosh and pierce; he disrupted everything the raps did on defense and offense tj disappoints -tj ford is out of control, he needs to learn how to reel his game back in -we might lead the league in turnovers as a result of him -his shot sucks!!!!! -the celtic broadcast crew even started slagging him, particularly tommy heinson who commented on a couple occasions that ford was going to lose his starting job to caledron -caledron had a much better +- ratio compared with tj, it seemed like everytime tj was on the court, we were losing Parker Misused -parker who's an offensive genius had been relegated to defensive stopper and looked like he didn't belong in the league Bosh -played great, mid season form and i think he had a little chemistry with rasho, surprise, surprise!!! Bargnani -they went at him on every possession to start the game and he faired well -boston suited up an undersized lineup, so he didn't have to worry about being physically outmatched Garbosa -again the spanish connection won it for the raps in overtime -although, he looked really pedestrian on his defensive rotations
I agree, so far, Boston Celtics got an absolute stud in Rajon Rondo, that kid can ball. An absolute steal @ 21 if he keeps this up during the regular season. Bargnani struggled or missed a lot of shots the first 3 quarters but did a lot better in the 4th with 9 points. Bosh did good for his limited time, Pierce just schooled everybody, kinda surprised to see why Anthony Parker was guarding him, i assumed Mitchell wanted to see if he can guard big time players. Garbajosa with 2 clutch 3's. Calderon just broke down the Celtics defenders. However Rajon did the same to the Raptors. Graham seems to hog the ball a lot, as does Humphries. Pretty funny too, how the Celtics broadcasters made fun of hockey while comparing, Fred Jones to the 2 out of 3 missed FT's.
<div class="quote_poster">Iggy Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I've got Raptors by 4 in OT. Elisha Cuthbert was born in Calgary baby! LOL</div> damn iggy that was close not a bad game by the raptors i would like to see more from bargnani, ford, and parker
a couple other things... -fred jones is a really good playmaker -rajon rondo hit a desperation three to get the celtics in overtime -there was a bad call in the last minute which awarded continuation -donnie wahlberg of new kids on the block called part of the game with the celtic broadcast team -also, at the end of the game- sherman hamilton's mic was on so we could here his running conversation over the last minutes of the game
observations: - Saw the worst of T.J ford tonight, 8 turnovers 1-5 from the field out of control on a lot of his drives and abused defensively - by both telfair and rondo. Hopefully its just the growing pains of new teamates and a new offense. Nevertheless he is lightning quick and one can see his value to the team even when he is off his game. - Impressed with Bargnani's lateral quickness and over all ability to run the court for a bigman. Didn't have a great shooting night, i still like his his assertiveness out there, when he had a shot he didn't hesitate to take it. - Will be interesting to see what Parkers role on the team will be. looked somewhat lost on offense, however he really impressed me with he rebounding tonight. Seem to really understand some of the fndamentals of the game eg. boxing out and help side. - Fred Jones might be a capable option at point, i always thought of him as a pure two gaurd but he impressed me tonight on the occaisions he brought up the ball. - Lastly not sure what mitchell's game plan is interms of distributing minutes, I would have like to see both Graham and P.J Tucker get more and mo pete a little less. But maybe that is something we'll start to see as the reg. season nears ( bench players getting the majority of minutes while starters rest).
