Noel Devine had 5 carries for 136 yards tonight at Maryland....10 years ago, a team like WVA couldn't come into Florida and take a recruit like this out of state, but times have changed....There are now half a dozen D1A programs in Florida and allbig out of state schools are coming in here....the floodgates are open now....
There were significant questions about his grades and at one point, Noel declared that everyone in the South hated him and that he wanted out of the South.
He also lost both parents at a young age and had some problems adjusting to that....but, Deion Sanders took over as his gaurdian and made sure he had a stable home so he could succeed in school and get to college....all signs pointed to him going to FSU(you know Deion was steering him that way)....but, he escaped, and hes a prime example of the kind of player that wouldnt have gotten out of the state until recently
