Re: Anyone else norice...... Yes. The announcing crew was clearly pro Houston. The highlights during the game were mostly Houston. It was strikingly obvious. At times I thought I was watching a Houston broadcast.
ESPN seemed pretty happy we won the first two games as well. It really seems like people are really enjoying this series and anything that prolongs it makes them happy. So sure ESPN is happy Houston won because that means one more game for us to play but I don't think ESPN is going to be more happy or less happy if we come out of it the victor or not. Certain anaylsts may be upset but there are also the anaylsts who would be upset if Houston won as well.
Underdogs is good for us. Let them bathe in their glory. Tonite we dine in hell, THIS... IS... PORTLAND!
Well, we're going to win Sunday. We took Houston's best shot, and with a little adjustments here and there, we'll take it on Sunday. Not worried.
And any fan of corporate profit -- whether ESPN or the NBA or Kia -- anyone who will make more money if the series is strung out.
I'm used to the national media focusing on our opponents. It's not new. They typically focus on our opponent's highlights even when we win. Portland is small market. We take you now to the Kemper Open.
They spent a lot of time praising Portland. They had graphics that introduced everyone to our players. JVG couldn't stop talking about how great Lillard is.
