<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jamal Crawford's initial reaction to seeing Allan Houston finally practicing with his teammates was to marvel at the guard's textbook shooting form. The knees may be creaky, but Houston's jumper is as good as ever. "The guy doesn't miss," Crawford said. "It's incredible. I'm happy he's back. The first thing I thought was, 'Damn, we have another weapon.'" Houston went through a second day of shooting drills and ran through plays with his teammates yesterday as he continues to inch closer to a return. The plan is to have Houston participate in his first scrimmage on Friday and there is a possibility he will play his first game since last March within seven to 10 days. </div> Link - NY Daily News Let's get a good discussiong going on the matter.
This is great news for the Knicks. Like Marbury said, this is another weapon added to the Knicks arsenal. Perhaps Houston can do what Grant Hill has done for the Magic.

Do we start Houston or Crawford? Or bench TT and start Houston at small forward? Will we be better for the team if Crawford came off the bench or what? Do we go with the tried and true veteran? Or the young and explosive player? I for one think TT should disappear from the rotation when Houston returns and allow Houston to start at small forward. But for once I'm not too sure.
With Crawford fiiting in the SG spot so well do you think he should still be starting over Allan Houston. I doubt that Lenny will play Houston at the SF posistion. This will be a problem. I really didn't think Isaiah will think three 30+mpg guards could really work together. Houston at the SF is interesting but, I doubt it will happen. I have this feeling that if Houston plays well he will interest some teams and will be traded. The shooter position for the Knicks is sooo valuable. Marbury the penetrator leaving Houston open, man that's a real plus for NY. I wan't Houston still here but, I just think Isiah has something else in mind. You guys no Isaiah you never know what he's thinking.

I think that the idea of houston playing sf is a good idea -he`ll get many open shots (i hope =) I hope that hpuston will stay in new york .

Here is a link on MSG. It's an update on Houston. He said he wan'ts to return sometime during the Memphis, New Orleans, and Charlotte road trip. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allan Houston took what he called "a huge step" Friday toward his comeback, participating in a half-court scrimmage and setting next weekend as the possible date of his return from prolonged knee problems. "It felt better than I thought it would. It was the first day I did a contact drill in I don't know how long," said Houston, the highest-paid and longest-tenured member of the New York Knicks. Houston missed the playoffs and 13 of the final 14 regular-season games last season due to soreness that developed after he returned from microfracture surgery on his left knee. The date of his return has been this season's longest-running mystery surrounding the Knicks, who entered the weekend in a virtual three-way tie for first place in the Atlantic Division. </div> Link
