Either of the Screen Door restaurants or Mother's Bistro in downtown Portland. The Benson used to have an amazing brunch but that's gone. ... Better idea, drive to Seattle for brunch and catch a Mariners game.
My favorite breakfast place in Portland is the Cameo Cafe on 82nd and Sandy. But it's a greasy spoon diner place, maybe it's not an impressive spot for a guest. Recently had brunch at Urban Farmer at the 9s that was really good.
Jam on Hawthorne is fantastic, and very Portland. If you want a crunchy granola Portland experience, Paradox Cafe on Belmont.
If you want trendy, Cadillac Cafe https://www.cadillaccafepdx.com/ I have always like Elmer’s Breakfasts. Decent portions and variety. Locations kinda suck though. Nothing special like Cadillac Cafe near Hollywood dist.
I dont like Mother's Bistro. Too fancy. Was not a fan of their biscuits and gravy. Give me biscuits and gravy with cheap powder Gravy, cheap biscuits, and spend on the meat. My wife likes Brix Tavern in Portland, Eastburn in Portland or Hive Social in Oregon City.
Screendoor on 23rd or so and Burnside. Cadillac Cafe on NE Broadway by Lloyd Center. Pine State Bisuits.
Troutdale has a food truck station now that is amazing. Lots of good choices there. McCrae's in Gresham is good for breakfast.
