Zombie Blazers Pursuing Pau Gasol

Bullet dodged as far as I'm concerned. Go big, get young, and wait out the next three years.

Hell, maybe trade some guys for 2019, 2020 first round picks -- think strategically, not tactically.

Draft picks in 2019 and 2020 will indeed help.....in 2023. When Dame is 33

He turned down?

(Enter uber positive Blazer fan spin on umpteeth free agent turning us down.)

Thank god Neil was saved from his own bad decision!! Well, one of them...

Diaw isn't a rim protector but he is the best at the league at guarding Draymond Green so he is a good get. I would take him for merely cap space and a 2nd rounder (that is all SAS wants).

Would have loved getting Diaw about 3+ years ago. But hope we stay far away from him at this point - need to force-feed those minutes to Vonleh since we're still firmly in "development mode". And don't do anything to help the Spurs!

Who else did we pursue in 2016? The will probably be signed soon as well. :)

This Zombie trip down memory lane is germane to Pau's signing. Plus we frequently discuss that seemingly Olshey never loses sight of someone that he has targeted in the past.

The Bert Abides

What I don't abide is that it seems Olshey may have some kind of compulsive disorder. If his focus on past misses were to lead him to making wrong decisions on players, that would not be ideal.
