With tears filling his eyes, hard-luck Curtis Borchardt met the news media in the Jazz locker room Friday night and described how he broke his right wrist during Sacramento's 100-93 win at the Delta Center.
It was the third major injury of his two-year NBA career. He will be sidelined six weeks.
    Hence, the emotion.
With five minutes left in the first half, Borchardt went to the basket, collided with Sacramento's Gerald Wallace and crashed to the floor. On a bang-bang play, he was called for an offensive foul.
    Not that he noticed.

Curtis could've really been something, to bad he's made of jelly. Unless he doesnt get injuries he'll never be able to reach his full potential as a player. He broke his foot to keep him out from his entire rookie season, and he had a smaller injury at the start of the season. This will give Ben Handlogten more minutes, so hopefully Tag can get more minutes and not get fouls.

    He'll be out 8-9 weeks http://www2.sltrib.com/jazz/Main/Story.asp...2003&NUM=120729

    Surgery Update

Surgery to place a plate in Curtis Borchardt's broken right wrist was a success, trainer Gary Briggs said. The hand was placed in a cast and Borchardt will be examined by Dr. Lard Swenson again on Sunday, before flying to his parents' home in Texas to spend the holidays.

I swear he gets hurt every other month. Oh well, Ben Handelton's been doing alright.
