Man--what a stretch the Braves are going through right now. First the AL's best in Cleveland, then the surging AL-West leading Mariners, and now the Dodgers, owners of the best offense in baseball. Another major test upcoming this weekend.

    5/3 - Charlie Morton (2-0, 3.60) vs Gavin Stone (2-1, 4.68)
    5/4 - Bryce Elder (1-0, 1.50) vs Tyler Glasnow (5-1, 2.72)
    5/5 - Max Fried (2-0, 4.02) vs James Paxton (3-0, 3.51)

Eeeeesh. Knew this series would be a tough one, but was hoping we wouldn't see anything like this. Still, Elder's been kinda on the edge in his prior starts. Can't be terribly surprised that he got lit up.

Well...that was a rough and unfortunate weekend. The mostly anemic offense continued, and our pitching was absolutely no match for the Dodgers' bats. Of course as a Blazer fan, my tendency is toward doom and gloom, so I default to thinking that this was a harbinger of things to come, but I'm hoping that this served primarily as a wake-up call.
