Oregon is ranked 5, behind Miss State, FSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss. No biggie for us if we win out. We will get in
FSU is such a fucking joke. I get that you can't really drop them because they're the reigning champs and they haven't lost, but goddamn is their schedule a joke.
It is and also all that shit flying around about Jamis makes it ridiculous that they arent even looking into it and just kind of saying "winning a national championship means more the anything".
Winston is a piece of shit. If I was an NFL team, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. He's Johnny Football x10. Not only is he arrogant, but he has shown incredibly bad judgement. He's going to bust. I'm sure of it.
Yea I wouldnt touch him until he fell to the 4th round. Falling so far in the draft would be great for him since it would show him he has to earn a job.
Seems manageable, the SEC love is still hilarious though. My dream of a playoff of Oregon, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Kansas State/Florida State just to see their heads explode seems impossible though.
Miss State loses to Alabama and Ole Miss. Ole Miss loses to Auburn Auburn loses to Georgia Georgia loses in SEC championship game Alabama loses to Auburn WE can get Oregon, FSU, Notre Dame, Michigan State and K-State/TCU in there. Would love to see Oregon play either of those teams in Round 1, except maybe MSU due to that they will be out for revenge
The more that things change, the more they stay the same. It's like putting lip-stick on a pig but it's still a pig.
Honestly, I don't think the committee put more than 3.76 minutes into their selections. 3.76 minutes is about the amount of time it took them to copy the AP poll. While I do believe that our coaching staff wasn't performing up to it's normal high level for a while, the committee is supposed to take injuries into account and they clearly didn't here. Andre Y AND Jake Fisher injuries on face value should have allowed Oregon to beat Arizona. The committee should have looked past that and ranked Oregon probably 2 spots higher IMO. IMO - College football has never been right because it never had a playoff like every other level in football. While it's certainly getting better, it's not going to be right until it has an 8 team playoff system.
8 team playoff sounds perfect but what will you do to all the other teams? Bowl games would be a bitch to schedule for teams not in the playoffs (assuming all playoff teams will be playing neutral sites.) It would be interesting though... It would be cool if they took the champions of all power 5 schools and seeded them 1-5 then picked 3 at larges, it would look something like this if the season ended today: 1. Miss State vs 8. Alabama 2. Florida State vs 7. Ole Miss 3. Oregon vs 6. Auburn 4. TCU vs 5. Michigan State Too much SEC but, that's gonna happen no matter what.
Your bracket looks great to me....... Personally, the only bowl games that would be affected are the lowest tier bowl games and they suck anyways. Also keep in mind that the teams usually have to pay in order to play in those bowl games and take a financial loss in order to do so. Those bowl games could go away for all I care as the top 15-20 bowl games should not be affected.
Lol who jumped us? Florida? I wouldn't be surprised... Edit: Alabama didn't even play last week ... AP went full retard.
Sucking that Bama kool aid it seems. Then Bama will lose to either LSU or Auburn. Anyways, the current playoff rankings will be: Miss St FSU Auburn Oregon In that order. Alabama is getting bumped down to being on a Bye.
'Bama will win out. After next week's game @ LSU, they're at home the rest of the year. Miss. St. will drop behind 'Bama and Auburn after they lose to the Tide in two weeks. Auburn will drop out after they lose in the Iron Bowl. They also play @ Ole Miss, so Miss. St. might well lose that too. If Oregon wins out, the Egg Bowl basically will decide if the Ducks are #3 and facing 'Bama in the semifinals, or #4 and facing FSU.
Accuasations of the committee already playing politics is already present. #Themorethingschangethemoretheystaythesame.
