    Shouldn't be a problem.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Question: Yeah but you were the best at one main thing, pressuring the ball. How do you still do it at 260?

Ron Artest: I was 255 when I was doing it.</div>

Damn, Ron or should I day Ahnold, I just had to. The next time I'm watching him play I'm not going to throw a beer at him that's for sure. I guess the move to the 4 is probably going to be true.

Damn 14 pounds heavier. This could be false though considering that NBA.coms still got him at 246, and thats till pretty big for a SF. Im with what TwinTowers said that move to the PF spot is probably the best thing for him if he's really that big, he'll be pretty good there too IMO, he's not the smallest guy.

wow, if that weight is used accordingly and in proportion, he'll be one heck of a small forward offensively and defensively...Artest is gonna be a beast this year!!

This can be a good thing and a bad thing...

If his weight doesn't slow him down and take anything away from his game... watch out. He will post up every small forward in the league and cause mismatches everywhere, especially on defense.

His tree trunk shoulders have gotten even bigger, which is just scary... mini-shaq.

even lebron would have trouble backing him down.

I don't think so, he'd be heavier, but when you have a body like Artest (as opposed to Shaq) muscle can make you faster and quicker. Plus, he's been working on his jumpshot and doesn't hesitate to make that known.

    Can't wait.

Sometimes I wonder if the listed weights are correct. 260 sounds a bit too much for Artest.

He now outweighs Elton Brand, but for some reason I don't think he does. Brand is 254, Artest is 260?

Well, I will wait and see once I see the Pacers.

That seems a lot of for a small forward. If he is gaining weight then maybe he is doing it for a reason. I doubt he is doing it to make himself slower worse player. We will just have too see.

Thats really impressive, Artest is simply a monster. 260 is a heck of alot hopefully it doesnt slow him down because that wouldnt be to great.

260? Bah, he'll still have his problems with our boy Ryan Gomes. And I wonder, out loud apparently, if Artest will be able to handle quicker 3's. I know Gomes is quick for his size, and he's had a touch of trouble with guys like Mo Pete and Richard Jefferson, so who knows?

Artest plays physical..if he's holding his arms out straight it forces the player to run around him, and Artest isn't that slow..

Every analyst say that Elton is really about 6'6 and a half. And if Ron is really 6'7 then that would make Ron just a tad thicker. Anyways I was thinking Ron put on fat weight like how Shawn Kemp did when I seen the title. I didn't read the article but reading these post it's muscle. I'll just guess I say his speed will just decrease a little. Nothing drastic overall being the same player I guess?

If the Pacers win 55 games and/or the East this year I'm saying Artest has a good shot at MVP. He's going to just be a beast this year. Can't wait to watch some indy games.
