To have "turned into absolute garbage," it would have had to have been something more than that in the first place. I get that it's not a movie to watch for the plot, the dialogue, or whatever. It's more for the cool camera tricks, the crashes, and the sound effects. It is what it is... another action movie... just never got into the whole action movie thing. Also never really got into the whole comic book movie thing though, and those are the kind of movies everyone seems to love nowadays, so that probably explains why I don't think I've seen a good movie in a hot minute. Hollywood needs to come more correct with movies with actual well thought-out premises and writing.
The comic book movie craze is going to continue for a while, so strap in. What are some of your favorite movies from the last 5 years?
Just saw this movie today. Not the best in the series but enjoyable in parts. Just don't go into the movie thinking it's going to be realistic you'll probably be fine. This movie is FAR from realistic. There is one scene where the Rock jumps from one bridge down to the next and lands Dictly onto a car, falls off of the car (The car is going at top speed mind you) the Rock leaves without a scratch on him. Or how about the scene where Vin Diesel is in that big burning plane crash near the end and everyone is just standing there with sad faces. Next minute Vin Diesel comes walking out of the plane like nothing even happened. That run way strip must have been 30 miles long. The movie did fit the franchise though and I was a little disappointed because there was only 2 street races in it and that's if you count the very first scene. Oh ya there is another big actor coming for the next installment.
