Seriously. Now that Memphis is obviously showcasing Conley for KP to take the bait, I wonder if KP would demand Warrick in return if the deal included Outlaw. 21 pts and 6 rebs on 9-12 shooting would be nice off of the Blazer bench, no?
You don't get Warrick and Conley for Outlaw. Come on now. Warrick's just as good as Outlaw for the most part. And Warrick didn't do anything special. He just abused the Bulls front court like every other front court player this season.
Warrick is an expiring contract. That makes his value different than Outlaw's. He would basically be a rent-a-player.
warrick is made of toilet paper, and would become very moist and lose all structural integrity when exposed to the portland rain. not to mention his mother in law is a grizzly bear, his middle name is elvis, and he loves him some cowboy troy.
You do when you're a free agent that summer. Of course maybe you're the type of person who would trade assets only to rent a player like Warrick for the season. I don't think your fans would be very happy with you though.
I don't think the Blazers would give up a towel to acquire a player like Warrick. If they get him it'd probably just be filler for something that would help the team. Ed O.
Yeah, cuz its up to the players where they play right? Especially high caliber players like Hakim Warrick.
1. I'm pretty sure this thread was about trades, not FA. Because Warrick was rumored to be in a trade w/ Conley comin' to Portland. 2. This wasn't even a real thread, the OP is kind of upset at something and started threads about random players because the mods didn't delete a thread about Conley in the Portland forum. 3. We really would never even consider signing Warrick in Free Agency... We have a very similar player in Outlaw.
Frequently you don't, because not very many teams want you. In fact, sometimes the number is zero. That's why Bonzi is learning Chinese now. barfo
The context is whether Warrick would have to sign with Portland. He doesn't. He can choose to go else where.
This is what sparked the "He doesn't like Portland so...". It was never about FA. That is what ppl were talkin' about. Obviously he can choose (though can't be too picky) where he wants to go in FA. Just a question though, where did he say he didn't like P-town?
Sure. But if his contract is expiring, and he's traded, then his bird rights are traded with him, and - assuming the team that acquired him wants him - they can outbid everyone else. Now, maybe Warrick doesn't care about money, I don't know. He'd be a bit unusual in that regard. Lot of hypotheticals here, since we have only one poster's word that Warrick doesn't like Portland, and we have no indication at all that Portland likes Warrick. barfo
