<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HOUSTON -- The representative for forward Chuck Hayes, a restricted free agent, tells FOX 26 Sports Hayes has agreed to terms with the Rockets and will continue his career in Houston. "We have an agreement in principle on a four year deal," agent Calvin Andrews said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports. "I feel good about getting it done and I'm glad Chuck has some security," Andrews said. Last season Hayes averaged 5.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and started 43 of the 78 games he played in. His energy and passion became an integral part of the Rockets scheme. Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey had said all along he was confidant he could keep Hayes with Houston. Since Hayes is a restricted free agent the Rockets had the right to match any offer Hayes received. "Chuck was a critical component in the Rockets success last season. With this agreement we are thrilled we will have Chuck as part of our core for some time," Morey said via e-mail to FOX 26. Andrews was also confident the two sides would get together. "It took awhile because the Rockets had a lot going on and we respected that and understood that," Andrews said. Andrews says Hayes will sign the contract either Wednesday or Thursday.</div> http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages/Sp...TY&pageId=6.1.1
somewhere Rock4Life is wearing his Juwan Howard jersey and slitting his wrists................. but I'm glad to have Chucky back..........now lets get Deke back on the bandwagon.
Very good. Expected move but signing Hayes to four years is a good idea. He's the right player to come off any bench and provide energy. Anyone know how much the deal is for?
