Well, Randy doesnt play defense or special teams so you cant put that one on him(he might be on teh hands team, but even that is a luck thing)....the offense put the team in a postion to win and the defense deflated....this is a heart breaker for any vikings fan and because I know how they feel right now, I wont be piling on or salting the wounds anytime soon

17 points vs. the Cards ... that's weak offense Beef. These guys were 6-0! People in this forum insist that Moss is The Greatest of All-Time! Where was "The Greatest of All Time" today ... maybe he just felt like taking the day off!

I just hope "Meathead" can get his Draft Board straight before the 2nd round this year! LOL

    Zackman,

What????!!!!! Be realistic! I know you don't like Moss, but to blame the loss on him is ridiculous. He can't make plays if his number isn't called. When they did go to him he made plays.

Blame the coaching staff for a terribly called game...waayy to conservative. The game should have been over in the second quarter, but they just didn't want to open up the offense. The defense played horribly as well.

Yea I guess there's plenty of blame to go around. But my point is that "ALL TIME GREATS" get open and make BIG PLAYS in BIG GAMES. As for the Viking "D", can you really expect them to hold any team to less than 18 points? I don't think so. With all the talent on that offense they should have scored at least 20 points against Arizona in a game that ment so much. (Regardless of the play calling)

Moss' former teamate at Marshall Nate Poole makes the winning catch!

Red was pissed after the game 7 loss that put them at 6-1 ... I wonder if he's mad now??? [IMG]

I believe there should be more blame placed on the coaching, or more like some of the coaching choices. That is my two cents, now I am poor again.

Sure, I'll agree with you there, but they still need to have the ball passed to them. Moss wasn't GIVEN the opportunity to make the big plays.

The defense should have held them to less than 18 points, but the offense should have scored a lot more than 17, especially after handing KC 45 points.

I think the game showed that the Vikings have some good players (K. Williams, for one), but the coaching needs to be addressed.

    Mike Tice's head? Who knows.

First, not everyone on the forum thinks that Randy Moss is the greatest of all-time. Jerry Rice is the greatest WR of all-time. Moss may be the player that has come the closest to having Jerry Rice's talent, but he needs to try and emulate Rice in the desire and work ethic department.

Having said that, Randy Moss did not lose this game. It looks to me like the Vikings need to get serious about addressing their defensive problems. If not Mike Tice's head, then maybe the DC's or look to the front office. Is the front office putting the defensive players on the field?

Should the Vikings be in the playoffs? No, they had their chances and blew them. (like my Dolphins) They should have gotten at least one victory on the road against the Chargers, Raiders and Cardinals. Should they hang their heads? No, they were much better this year than last. They had a much better year than I thought they were going to have.
