Nerds unite! Is there a TRUE IMAX screen in Portland? Doing some research and am coming up with reviews saying that screens that CLAIM to be IMAX are really NOT! Need to see SINNERS in TRUE IMAX. Saw a great breakdown by the director on how he shot it and now I’m very excited.
Nope. Not highest definition ones. But the ones we do have an Oregon are fine. For the absolute best ones you'll need to head to one of these locations... https://screenrant.com/oppenheimer-imax-70mm-theaters-list/ Hawkins Arizona Mills 25 & IMAX - Tempe, AZ AMC Metron 16 & IMAX - San Francisco, CA Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood & IMAX – Universal City, CA TCL Chinese Theater IMAX – Hollywood CA Regal Edwards Ontario Palace & IMAX – Ontario, CA Regal Irvine Spectrum 21 + IMAX – Irvine CA Esquire IMAX – Sacramento, CA Regal Hacienda Crossings & IMAX – Dublin, CA AutoNation IMAX, Museum of Discovery & Science – Fort Lauderdale, FL Regal Mall of Georgia & IMAX – Buford, GA IMAX Theatre at Indiana State Museum – Indianapolis, IN Chrysler IMAX Dome Theatre, Michigan Science Center – Detroit, MI Celebration! I think that is the list of theaters that could show the 70mm format that Oppenheimer was filmed on as it was intended. So the best IMAX theaters, as I understand it.
I think even Bridgeport is supposed to be better than OMSI. At least, that's what I remember from when I was looking to watch Oppenheimer...
You know, the city should make it so the RG is it's own IMAX theatre. Imagine going to a movie there....
