My thoughts on who stays, who goes, and I don't cares on a 1-5 scale with 1 being want back, 2 prefer back, 3 don't care, 4 kinda prefer gone, 5 if I have to see you again, let it be in a different uniform. Not every player mentioned, some just don't merit mention.

    1 - Definitely keep:
    • Avdija
    • Camara
    • Sharpe
    • Clingan
    2 - Prefer to keep:
    • Scoot
    • Thybulle
    • Rupert (like to give him a bit more time to develop)
    • Walker (like his energy)
    3 - Really don't care
    • Murray
    • Reath
4 - Prefer they be gone
    • Banton
    • Williams (like the guy but his availability is crap at best)
    • Grant (seems like he can kinda fit into a role player role and not disrupt too much - don't trust Billiups with him though)
    5 - Be gone
    • Ayton - ton of money for often meaningless contributions - need consistent fire and effort and get anything but from
    • Simons - probably our best shooter but he seems to take preference over others and the team plays better with others in and him not

Like the ideas, and mostly agree, however...

Scoot moves to the definitely keep
Thybulle moves to Really don't care.
Murray, Banton, RW3 to the Prefer to keep.
There is no such thing as "meaningless contributions". It's just a stupid message board thing. "Hey neighbor, I screwed your wife, but they were 'meaningless contributions', so no worries".

I move Ant, Grant, Duop and Minaya...I look at Murray, Walker and Banton for one more season...if Murray can't shoot, I move him and keep Walker, if Walker can't shoot, I move him.
I'm keeping the rookies and Ayton and Clingan are my bigs for the duration.

Cronin needs to save Billups from himself and trade the vets, who hurt this team more than helped. Those excited about re-signing Billups need to remember that his choice of Ayton, Grant and Ant starting hurt this team

    Keepers ( 100% )

    Camara
    Deni
    Scoot
    Clingan

    Keep ( 80 % )

    Sharpe

    Keep maybe ? (50%)

    Rupert
Thybulle -- then trade at deadline
Williams - See above for MT
    Murray
    Jabari
    Doup

    Get rid of ASAP ...

    Grant
    Ant
    Ayton
    Banton

Only going to explain one player and that is Sharpe -- I said before IF Billups stayed I kind of thought Sharpe should go cause not sure Billups really trusts him and that is why Ant got so many minutes down the stretch in games.

Hoopguru -- What more do you want to see from Scoot ? -- he improved his shooting this season and for the most part his decision making but I will admit still needs work but better players who can shoot around him might improve that more. I am not going to punish him cause he is not Dame and I think some are still hung up on the fact he replaced Dame and do not see he is on his way to becoming a good PG in the league.

Basically, I don't think Blazers HAVE to get rid of anyone. They can play it by ear and see what opportunities arise
    (assuming everyone plays good soldier)

    they don't have to...yet

but again, in a 2 year period Simons, Ayton, Timelord, Thybulle, Sharpe, Scoot, Camara, Avdija, and Clingan will all be getting new deals. Timelor and Thybulle aren't a big worry, but the others are. Punting decisions down the road is going to run out of road soon enough

Agree the vets hurt the team and development, aside from Ayton. But I do believe they needed to play Ant and Grant to somewhat showcase, in hopes of building their stock for a trade. Clearly this failed and we will get shit for them but I don’t put playing them on Billups, it was probably a directive.

Regardless, you can’t just bench them if the goal is to move em. Gotta show they have value. The irony is them playing helped us lose.

Are there people in the organization who are as frustrated and confused as us?

Yes. Joe actually had a vision. Hopefully Kolde didn’t castrate him with the extension
