Hey, it's only fair. CJ Watson is probably a lot hungrier, more nba ready, and harder working than Marcus Williams. Plus, CJ Watson has more experience knowing this team.
IMO this is just motivation for Marcus Williams, its his job to lose. CJ Watson has the edge of being experienced in Nellie's system but he just doesn't have the talent Williams does and is basically inferior in every aspect of the game (passing, ball handling, rebounding, size, even scoring). I think Williams is motivated and in shape right now and he will get the starting job.
Maybe. Potential wise, I'd give Marcus Williams the nod. He's supposed to be like an Andre Miller/Deron Williams type. So be on the look out for those quarterback intangibles.
Yeah, it probably is motivation. Nelly ain't going to do the Dunleavy thing by spoon feeding the first round pick. Whoever was most solid as of now gets the start. Williams will have to work hard and work his way into the starting rotation a la Monta Ellis. That means consistent play and being involved in important minutes.
